Analysis of the Influence of Gamification Elements in an E-Learning Course

Abstract

Gamification elements have been implemented in the e-learning course in order to evaluate the influence of gamification on educational process. Students have been divided into two groups: gamification and test group. Analysis indicated statistically significant difference of distributions between analyzed groups (the Mann-Whitney U test). Gamification group received higher final grades, perceived difficulty of the course content as easier and fairness of the final grade better.
